a few years ago, i did a project in which i drew 1,000 pictures in a week. i'd like to do that again, but with a twist: this time i'd give myself a month, and this time OTHER people would help. the challenge would be to try to get that many drawings from people. i would be allowed to draw some of them, but only in the company of friends who were also (presumably) drawing pictures. at the end of the month, i would display all 1,000 of them in an art show, and perhaps sell them to help pay for my next hairbrained idea.
• Since people (especially non-artists) never know what to draw when you hand them a pen, i could make up a list of a dozen or so subjects they could draw.
also, on an unrelated topic... i have spammers commenting to my blog. sigh. that's just so dissapointing. i suppose i'll try to figure out how to get rid of them.

You might spend a lot of time either (a) convincing people who think they can draw that they can't or (b) convincing people who think they can't draw that they should try. Or both. :-) It's a cool idea though, and I think you should do it.
You can delete the spam by clicking on the little trash can underneath it. Depending on how much you get you can just delete it as it happens, or turn on word verification to prevent it.
